JONNY B. GOOD
Jon Hager
Jon began his singing career at the ripe old age of 18 months—evidently a spirited interpretation of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ that prompted his parents to ensure he pursued a non-musical career. Despite this, he managed to perform the lead in a number of productions as a boy soprano, including a semi-professional opera. Then his voice changed. So he took up piano.
He joined his first rock band in the 10th grade playing exotic venues like library openings and teacher socials. His only brush with fame being the drummer in one of his bands went on to join the iconic 90s band Everclear (Greg Eklund) which Jon takes full credit for (or maybe it was just that Greg is a really, really good drummer). Jon put away the keyboard and the rock star dreams as he headed off to JMU and then a career in IT.
Today, Jon is living the life of a rock star (assuming living the life of a rock star means taking out the trash, doing the laundry, and cleaning the bathroom.) When he’s not working or spending time with his three kids Emily, Will (who performs with Old Play on occasion), and Lauren, he tries to find time to squeeze in some practice. And no, Mom and Dad, he’s not planning on quitting his day job...
