Lil' Drummer boy

Greg Diagonale is the drummer for Old Play and hails originally from New York. Greg started playing drums in his mid-teens in numerous cover bands throughout high school and college; Basement Blues, Free Beer, The Bed Rocks, to name a few. Over the years, he volunteered his time playing in church bands and has been with Old Play since the band’s founding.

Growing up, Greg was heavily exposed to music and played piano and trumpet. However, his parents did not support him in his pursuit of playing the drums due to the noise level. So Greg took it upon himself to play on a block in his room and later transitioned to plastic buckets and eventually a full drum kit—which he bought second-hand with his own money. He taught himself how to play, and to this day, is able to listen to music and to pick up the drum parts relatively quickly.
